Noah’s Ark

The boys and I are reading our favorite Bible (Story of the Bible) stories and we started with Noah’s Ark since we own the Playmobil Noah’s Ark.  I got this last year from a major toy sale in one of the shops here.  The boys love this piece of material so much!  It’s a beautiful and sturdy toy with so much educational value for big and small kids.

Mavi is the one who usually sets-up the ark.  Minimal assembly is needed for this.  Your 7 year olds can do it breezily.


The kids love the animals that goes along with it.  As expected, they come in pairs:  zebras, parrots, giraffes, lions, ostriches etc.


And of course, there’s Noah and his wife. I’m just a little bit disappointed that they didn’t include the sons and wives LOL.


Vito loves tinkering with the ark. There are lots of compartments that opens and closes (this is his favorite), and some compartments for food storage as well (see photos below).


Then Mavi would read the Noah’s Ark story from our favorite Story of the Bible hard cover book, as we re-enact the story using our Playmobil figures.


Of course, Vito was not listening, he’s always busy opening and closing the secret compartments in the ark.  The Noah’s Ark playset comes with so many pieces, including food, baskets, lamps, and more!  These food are good enough for Noah and his family to last for months in the ark.



Anyway, the Playmobil Noah’s Ark is a beautiful piece of learning toy that introduces children to the story of Noah in a hands-on manner sort of way and at the same time allows them to use their imagination whenever they want to use it for free play, like for example, Mavi uses it as Titanic whenever he wants to retell the story of the ill-fated ship LOL.  They play with this ark for hours, fighting over the animals and who will navigate it :D Kids!
