Vito is 29 months old.
So I was brainstorming the other way of what else could we do for our Body Unit and Mavi suggested that I should give Vito do a puzzle work. But he worked with our favourite body puzzle already and Mavi said, what about creating Vito’s face? And it hit me! Why not print a picture of Vito and turn it into a puzzle! This way he’ll be familiar of the order of his face from top to bottom, right?
It is so simple to make! Print a photo of your kid, preferrably in a white background and laminate it. Cut the photo into pieces, making sure to include a certain part of his face. Like for example, I cut the hair portion, forehead, eyes, nose, and mouth. This way, its easier for the child to identify his facial parts and is able to arrange them from mouth to hair or the other way around.
We also made a life size drawing of his body. He wanted to draw his face into it but all he could ever do was make doodles. So I encouraged him to use our do-a-dot markers to add highlights and colours. Then he added shoes and a shirt! And because he couldn’t make a face, I placed his face puzzle into the head portion of his body drawing. It turned out so good!
Simple and random activities are the best! Hope you try this at home, your kids will enjoy assembling their faces and make size life figure!
