Vito is 29 months old.
I mentioned in my previous post that this is the kind of letter activity Vito enjoys. He is showing signs of liking letters, identifying letters in books, boxes, and in just about anything! He is now loving the ABC song too! LOL So for the body unit, I made this material to match uppercase and lower case letter B.
To make the material, I printed out a body of a boy, with blank circles in it. I then laminated the sheet so I can reuse it in the future in case we work on another letter. Using a dry erase pen, I wrote the uppercase and lowercase letters in the blank circles in the body.
Now with letters written in the dot sticks, Vito matches the letters by placing the red dots in the body. Simple but engaging!
What’s more, it’s also a perfect opportunity for him to develop the skill of comparing! Is it a small b? or a big B? I made sure that I mention the difference so he’ll be familiar with it.
