I’d like to share Vito’s top picks of activities for October. These are the trays that he would select more often for “play”. Links to the materials are provided, and feel free to ask questions as well.
MATH (TOP): Halloween Counting Clipcards | Cards and Counters using Bouncing Eyeballs | Trick or Treat Math Race Game
LANGUAGE (MIDDLE): Beginning Letter Sound Clipcards | Halloween Book Reading | Halloween BINGO Game for vocabulary
PRACTICAL LIFE (BOTTOM) Tweezing Ring Spirders | Stringing Skulls | Making Monster Faces
For SCIENCE we are learning the Life Cycle of a Pumpkin
We use variety of ways for our clipcards. As you can see, we’re using glass nuggets or wooden letters to mark the correct count and letters instead of using wooden pegs. The foam dice we use in the house is from a local shop but you can purchase it in Amazon. I finally made a black playdough! I used Wilton’s food coloring, but I used a large amount of the food coloring just to come up with a pitch black.
