Preschool Letter B

A long overdue post of our letter B activities.  Vito is currently sick so I barely have  time to post.  We are not doing any “homeschool” activities except for reading books and play with his farm set.  Below are some ideas for learning letter B sound and prewriting activities. 

Object Phonic Sound.  We identified objects starting with letter B.  I made this card a long time ago and has been a favourite “go to” learning material for learning letter sound.

We gathered more items from their toys and here are some objects that start with letter B:  bird, butterfly, basket, bell, bread, banana.

 

 

Painting Letter B.  For something new, I asked Vito to paint our letter B. I realised we haven’t done any painting activity for long time so Vito was excited for this one. 

B is for banana.  Vito loves banana, he was learning letter B sound with practical life activity. Here Vito used a crinkle cutter to slice his banana for breakfast.  Make sure that you always supervise your child whenever you use sharp objects like knives and cutters.

And still on letter B, we worked on Banana life cycle puzzle from Beleduc.  Oh how I miss seeing banana trees! They just grow everywhere back at home!  Both of my boys were fascinated to see how bananas grow.

And there you go! Simple activities for letter B. We plan to work on letter P (pumpkin) and H (Halloween) next week, so stay tuned!
