We’ve done a lot of world continents activities for the past years but this has got to be one of the boys’ favorites! We had so much fun forming the continents with our playdough. This is such a lovely learning activity not just about continents but a fun way to keep those little fingers at work, promoting hand-eye coordination and concentration.
The playdough continent mats we used are from our shop. I printed the continent posters, laminated them, and used them as dough mats. We the used our PlayDoh to form the continents.

This was actually fun and educational! Here the child can learn that some continents are pretty solid (Africa) and some are scattered islands (Europe). Vito had a hard time assembling Europe because of the tiny parts but it was all part of the learning process.
Mavi, my eldest, joined in and chose to work on North America continent.
The dough really looked like lands!
We didn’t get to work on Oceania/Australia continent as we didn’t have any brown playdough. But look at what the boys made, they’re so beautiful! A great hands-on activity for learning the world continents and making dough play more educational!
