We love our building blocks printables! They're so engaging that even my eldest is playing along with us. I mean, who doesn't like these LEGO blocks or bricks? We have collected a bunch of LEGOs and other LEGO compatible blocks through the years and they have come into full use once again. And Vito is totally into it.
The Valentine's Day Spin and Build Building Blocks is similar to our four seasons LEGO building blocks game. Our favorite thing to do with this material is to play a multi-player game, though of course, single player can also be done. Here's how we play it:
- Pick a page you want to form.
- Prepare the blocks/bricks to be used. In this case, we follow the color coded sheets. You can play around with the colors and block size and you don't need to strictly follow the guides.
- Make your spinner. A simple paperclip and a pin will do.
- Play by taking turns spinning and placing the blocks. Build the picture using the blocks result from the spin (based on the color pointed to by the spinner).
- A player will skip a spin once he/she lands on a color that has been completed.
And that's all about this simple yet fun game!
