Our Spring Fine Motor Skills and STEM Challenges is a set of 4 activities that provide opportunities to develop and strengthen fine motor skills which are essential in our daily lives. The activities are integrated in different learning materials to provide depth in learning and giving opportunity for improving STEM skills such as problem solving.
Below are the activities included in our Spring Fine Motor and STEM Challenges. I also included links to the materials that go along with each activity set.
SPRING THEMED COUNTING CUBES
In this activity you will need counting snapcubes. You can get these snapcubes in Amazon and ours is from Learning Resources. The main objective of this activity is to form the pattern in the cards and identify or mark it's equivalent silhouette. The colored version of the printable is to be printed into card size (printed in 4 pages per sheet) and the black and white version is to scale, meaning, you can print it in "actual size" form (letter size) and use it as a mat.
SPRING THEMED GEOBOARD CHALLENGE
In this activity you are required to have rubber bands and Geoboards which are again available in Amazon. The main objective of this activity is to form the pattern in the cards (print in 4 pages per sheet) and identify the object that was formed. This printable (Spring Fine Motor Skills and Stem Challenges) set comes in 2 levels of difficulty and doesn't come in black and white version.
SPRING THEMED POPSICLE STICKS ART
This activity set requires you to use the activity sheets included in the learning material. The main objective of this activity is to form the picture in the activity sheets using the colored popsicle sticks. Count the total number of popsicle sticks used and trace the correct count.SPRING THEMED POMPOM OR DOT STICKER ACTIVITIES
Using the activity sheets included, the child will form the pictures in the cards and identify the number of each colored pompom in the picture. I indicated "dot stickers" because you can also use colored dot stickers or colored glass gems in this activity. Here's a preview of this activity.
And that's about it! Theres's tons of learning opportunities and activities included in this learning material (Spring Fine Motor Skills and Stem Challenges).
