I'm so excited to share with you our Ancient History Learning Pack. I made this product 4 years ago but I didn't really have the time to explain how to use this or how we are using this at home. Let me say that I finally updated the product and there are now 2 sets available to cater to the needs of other Montessori families and schools. This post is not a tutorial but it will explain each set in the learning pack, how we use each them and how you may benefit from them.
WORLD HISTORY: INTRODUCTION TO OUR LEARNING MATERIAL
This learning material focuses on the Ancient Times of World History. There are 2 sets in the shop: the 3 part cards (to cater to Montessori schools and families) and the timeline cards (mainly used for sequencing the major events that occurred in Ancient History). The 3 part cards and timeline cards are available in a bundle with great savings! Click here or the image below if you want to check. Or you can also purchase each learning material separately.

WORLD HISTORY: ANCIENT TIMES 3-PART CARDS
The 3 part card set contains 40 control cards, 40 picture cards and 40 labels. The main objective of these 3 part cards is to introduce the 40 major historical events in the Ancient History to the child. Each set has a high quality picture and label describing the historical event.Once the subject area has been introduced to the child, the picture to label matching activity can be done. Now in this part, I don't give the entire card set to the student. I would pick random set for him/her to work on. Because as I mentioned, there are 40 of these cards and it's too much for a child to do this in one sitting. This is a good method of memorizing historical events with clear visual presentation.
WORLD HISTORY: ANCIENT TIMES TIMELINE CARDS AND BOOKLET
The main objective here is for the child to learn how to arrange historical events in chronological order, the events that occurred during Ancient Times by using the timeline cards. Unlike the 3 part cards, the timeline card highlights the date of the event (as you can see on the topmost part of the card). The child uses this date to order the cards. The description of each event is written at the bottom of the card.
Also included in this set are information pages which you can assembled into a book and contain more detailed description of each event. This is more like a "book" and the parent/teacher can read this to the child to further explain each event.
And this is how Mavi learned about this topic in the past:
