Earlier today, Vito and I spent a delightful time creating our Nativity Sequencing Story to celebrate Advent. In the past few days, we have been reading various books on the Christmas story, and today, we worked on some extension activities to practice some skills that I will mention below.

Hands-on Less and More Counting Activities
I'm so happy to share our updated Holiday and Seasonal themed packs of our MORE OR LESS / COMPARING NUMBERS Activities in the shop. I had a great time using these learning materials with Vito years ago when he was just beginning to learn about numbers and quantities. To give you an idea on how we conducted the activity check it here, CHRISTMAS THEMED PACK with manipulatives. The picture below is Vito's work. He's still learning so he has a mistake in this one.
Coding Robot Toys Wishlist for 2019
Sunday, November 10, 2019
I'm preparing to introduce Vito to programming this coming year. I was planning to start with visual based programming or block based programming such as Scratch which Mavi used in his CoderDojo classes in the past years. But based on my recent research there are already a lot of kids toys these days that can be programmed with visual blocks. One class of toys make use of the BBC Microbit Makecode programming blocks. So for a more hands-on method to introducing or experiencing programming we plan to use some of the toys listed below.
I hope this list may be useful to you so your students can have a fun way to learn and be introduced to programming. And yes, these Programmable Robot toys can be good Christmas presents as well!!!
