Penguin Themed Unit: Types of Penguins 3 Part Cards with Habitat Map
Not all penguins live in Antarctica. Yes! Surprised? There are a few species living in some continents too and that's what these type of cards are for: to learn where these penguins are located. If your kids are now familiar with their names, it's time to introduce some of these cards so they can also learn that some penguins live outside Antarctica.
Penguin Themed Unit: Patterning
Let's play some game now! Encourage the child to identify and follow the patterns in the strips. You can use the printable colored penguins included or just like in our case, get this super fun Penguins manipulatives from Learning Resources to work on this activity.

Penguin Themed Unit: Thermometer Reading
Thermometer reading is an important skill for the kids and you will be surprise that they love learning about it too! This set is a fun way to introduce and practice reading numbers and temperatures. Be sure to print the appropriate "temperature unit of measure" as this set comes in Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Penguin Themed Unit: Penguin Head Puzzles
Let's play more games!!! 17 penguins have missing heads, can you look for their heads and match them to their bodies?
My boy loved this game so much! Note some of the penguins are quite similar so a bit challenging to the child. If needed, I included control sheets as you guide.
Penguin Themed Unit: Shapes
This activity promotes hands-on learning on shapes. Use playdough to form the required shapes or if you have other manipulatives (shapes) use them for matching activity. The material I used below is from here, Learning Resources Dive into Shapes.
These are some of the activities included in our PENGUIN PRESCHOOL MINI UNIT. Did you like anything so far? You can own all of these in one download by clicking here or the image below.
Have fun exploring and learning!!!
