FREE Language Resources

I've been making reading material booklets for Vito last weekend for us to use in this time of school shutdown.  School will be back by April but this is still uncertain due to the continuous spread of the Coronavirus.  And though we may have tons of books to read at home (both fiction and non fiction) it is still best to provide books that are specific for phonics practice as this is what Vito needs.


A decade ago, I came across this amazing website offering FREE language resources for kids.  I used this website before when I was still homeschooling my eldest (now 11 years old) and I'm so thankful that it still exist!

Just to clarify, I used the free passages and content of the free books here to make our own booklet of which I can't distribute (personal use only) due to of course copyright reasons.  I made our own booklets out of these resources due of the following reasons:

1. Align the terminologies used here in Ireland (e.g. silent 'e' changed to magic 'e')
2. Change the spellings to align with the spellings used in UK/Ireland.
3. Changed the pictures used in the books.

So feel free to skim through this amazing website, print what you need and have fun learning!
