Directed Drawing Activity Pack - Seasons

Heard of directed drawings?  These are instructional materials that provide step-by-step instruction (through illustrations) on how to draw an object.  I started making these last year in my shop because Vito enjoys this activity.  He was frustrated that he doesn't know how to draw, so I made him a few of these, and he loved it! He gained confidence in drawing, and with practice, he can now draw some objects on his own.    Anyway, I'd like to introduce our Seasons Themed Directed Drawing Pack.  Below you will find previews and ideas on how we use these at home (and, of course, can be used in schools too!).

WHAT YOU WILL GET

• 8 spring activity cards and 8 spring worksheets
• 8 autumn activity cards and 8 autumn worksheets
• 8 winter activity cards and 8 winter worksheets
• 8 summer activity cards and 8 summer worksheets

USING SET 1

 

I use this set as cards.  Print this set as cards and set your printer into either 2 pages (RECOMMENDED) or 4 pages per sheet.  Use a separate sheet of paper or the template provided for your drawing.

Alternatively, you can draw in whiteboards, chalkboards or any medium you like.  We usually draw on paper, but Vito wanted to use our whiteboard for a change.  Here we used our chalk markers to draw and color the objects.

USING SET 2

For no-prep, simply print the pages and draw on the box provided.  This set is perfect in schools for teachers to print and distribute to their students.  But this set also comes in handy for working parents who don't have time to prepare cards.
