Here's a look at our History of Books learning pack. The printable resources featured in this post are available in our History of Books - Timeline and Ordering Activities.
Difference between elementary work and early childhood
- History resources for elementary work focus on details, knowing the facts, and gathering information through research.
- My history resources for preschoolers, kindergartens, and early childhood learners focus on visual activities (matching), reading practice, introducing the concept of evolution and change, ordering activities, and integrating fine motor skills. No definition card is included in this set.
History of Books: Timeline Diagram
Graphic representation of the history of books.
History of Books: Blank Timeline Diagram
Cut and stick the images in the blank timeline diagram. You can use the control diagram as a guide with younger children or without the control diagram for more challenging work with older kids.
History of Books: Ordering Activities
Two sets are provided: ordering cards (posters printed into card size) and picture cards (can be scaled to smaller cards).
History of Books: 3-Part Cards
These are perfect for matching and for beginning reading.
History of Books: Pocket Charts
This is perfect for group presentations, but I used the cards as a display at home.
History of Books: Coloring Pages for Fine Motor Skills
Most kids love to color, including my boy, so I decided to add this to the learning pack for additional activities and acceptable motor skill practice. We love using Stockmar wax crayons at home for coloring!
