My Nutshell series is one of the best sellers in my shop, and. because I made these a decade ago, I decided to UPGRADE these and add more learning activities for the kids. To those who purchased any of the nutshell packets, you will have access to all the additional materials FOR FREE. Just visit your download link to access both the old and new editions.
Now, allow me to highlight some of the activities included in EUROPE IN A NUTSHELL, starting with maps, flags, regions, and interesting facts about culture, lifestyle and traditions. This EUROPE, IN A NUTSHELL is the most comprehensive and complete child-friendly learning material in Europe you'll ever find in digital shops.
EUROPE PHYSICAL MAP and its REGIONS
- Identifying the countries of Europe
- Use these for learning the geographical location of each country
- Understanding the different regions of Europe
- Learn the countries in each region
Here's a physical map of Europe. I labelled the oceans and mountains surrounding and bordering Europe.
For the Europe Maps, you can use pin flags to match the flags to their country.
Regions of Europe sorting activity. I did this with Mavi years ago. You can learn about our Regions of Europe activities here.
COUNTRY FLAGS
Use the Montessori 3 Part Cards to introduce and name the country flags. The tutorial for the Montessori 3-Part Cards can be downloaded here.
As an extension activity, kids can assemble their own 3 part cards using the blackline master, wherein they color and name the country flag. This set is perfect for those who love to write and draw.
Another extension activity I designed on flags is the color-pattern activity in which the child will use manipulatives like math snap/link cubes, color cubes or Unifix to identify the colors of the flag.
With all this knowledge... let's move on to learning about the flora, fauna and biomes of Europe! The post is up next!
