Here's a summary of our learning trays for this year for my 31-month-old toddler.
- Feeding the leprechaun with jewels using a three-grip tong and tweezer (not shown). I stuck the plastic gemstones in the brown Play-Doh to add some challenge to the activity.
- Matching clover faces and glueing using a glue stick
- Transferring rice using a spoon
- Spin and Build Mats pattern blocks play. The template is from our shop: St. Patrick's Day Spin and Build
- Fine motor skills and colour matching using the leprechaun hat. This activity is from our St. Patrick's Day Preschool Unit (colour dot activity)
- St. Patrick's Day object matching using a clothespin. This is homemade and not available. Will probably give it out as a freebie next year :D
- Sorting gold coins according to shapes. Again, this printable is from our St. Patrick's Day Preschool Unit.
- St. Patrick's Day scissor skills activity, printable from our shop. Click here to get a copy.
- Magnifying glass activity (matching cards). Not available currently
I am often asked how long these activities last. Well, it really depends. Max can sometimes finish 3-4 trays daily, and sometimes none, as he prefers to just play!
Here's how I set these up on our shelf. Things I need to put on display: scissors, glasses and rice. Any choking hazard items (like the jewel) are kept in a closed container.
