School will be back by April but this is still uncertain due to the continuous spread of the Coronavirus. And though we may have tons of books to read at home (both fiction and non fiction) it is still best to provide books that are specific for phonics practice as this is what Vito needs.

Learning about the History of Telephones for Kids
Monday, February 24, 2020
One of our favorite subjects is history! I suddenly had an urge to tackle the historical timeline of the everyday objects we use daily, like money, phones, computers, etc. This came to my mind when my eldest and I talked about the evolution of computers from gigantic machines to tablets. Though this is more of an elementary work, I designed this resource for preschoolers, kindergartens, and early childhood learners.
In this post, I will feature the history of telephones we recently worked on (Vito asked to work on this set first). All the printable resources featured in this post are available in our History of Telephones - Timeline and Ordering Activities.
Introducing Dental Health to Kids
Tuesday, February 18, 2020
My 6-year-old child is enthusiastic about learning more about their teeth and dental health after we went for a routine checkup with our dentist yesterday. As a result, I prepared some fun and educational activities for them at home, and we had a wonderful time discussing dental health together.
Here are some activities and ideas you can try with your children or students to create a dental-themed unit. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment or send me an email.

Coding Lessons for Kids Using BBC Microbit Robot Car
Saturday, December 28, 2019
I've finally selected the platform that I will use in introducing Vito to programming. We got this programmable car MAQUEEN from DFROBOT. My reasons for selecting this toy are: simple to assemble, no operating system setup needed, web based visual programming editor, and abundance of peripherals that can be programmed such as: motors, LED lights, RGB lights, LED matrix display, distance sensor, temperature sensor, push buttons, infrared sensor, speaker, and so on.
Vito is still very young at this stage, 6 years old, to learn programming but with my supervision and thru play I hope to introduce him to the exciting things that can be done with programming.
